A rural cottage property sits on a hillside clearing completely private and set back from any road. Twenty to seventy guests gather within restored stone buildings arranged around a courtyard facing south, where light pools longest in late afternoon. The main house holds kitchen and dining space, while bedrooms occupy adjoining cottages with individual entrances, eliminating the shared-hallway atmosphere of hotels. Guests can walk forest trails through the property's thirty acres, and meals often unfold picnic-style on the south-facing terrace.
